    On the southeast side of the island you will find Lac Bay: the location if you are looking for a nice place to surf at Bonaire. Here you will find daredevils from all wind directions showing off their skills. All ingredients for a great surf vacation are present; a beautiful beach, clear warm water and always wind!

🏄 What is a good travel time for my surf vacation in Bonaire?

The months from February to August, also called high-wind season, are the most suitable. Wind speeds are higher then compared to the other months. Outside this period you can also do excellent surfing on Bonaire. Due to the ever-present trade winds, there are good conditions for wave surfing, windsurfing and kite surfing!

🌊 Can I surf anywhere around Bonaire?

Surfing is not allowed just anywhere around Bonaire. For windsurfing and wave surfing, Lac Bay and Sorobon Beach are the perfect locations because of their convenient location. Kite surfing is only allowed in the dark blue (deep) water. Close to shore in the shallow water, kiting is not allowed. Keep in mind when you want to practice a water sport you are required to purchase a Nature Fee.
